Who was Lady Allen?
Lady Allen of Hurtwood is remembered for her work for children’s rights through-out the world, much of which is now incorporated in world wide legislation.

Her outstanding achievements lay in Nursery Education, the Curtiss Report and the Children’s Act 1948, UNICEF, planning for play in urban areas and the introduction of adventure playgrounds into this country.
